FablePilot does not require you to create an account to use the service. We do not ask you for your name, email address, or other account information in order to generate stories.
To manage daily usage limits, we store an anonymous visitor identifier in a browser cookie. This identifier is generated randomly and is not intended to identify you personally.
We may also receive limited technical information that is commonly included in web requests, such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring URLs, and basic request metadata, to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How We Use Your Information
We use the anonymous visitor identifier to enforce fair usage limits, prevent abuse, and keep the service available to users on a free basis.
We may use limited operational and analytics information to monitor performance, diagnose issues, understand high-level product usage, improve the site, and measure service reliability. We do not use your story prompts or generated stories to train our own models or for unrelated secondary purposes.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We use a first-party cookie named visitor_id to support anonymous usage limits. This cookie has a lifespan of up to 180 days and is set with security attributes intended to reduce unauthorized access.
We may also use analytics, measurement, or advertising technologies now or in the future, including cookies, pixels, or similar tools provided by third-party partners. These tools may help us understand traffic, measure site performance, support advertising, and improve the product.
Depending on where you live, you may have choices about cookies through your browser settings or applicable consent controls. Clearing cookies may reset your usage counter and affect how the site functions for you.
Third-Party Services
Story generation is powered by OpenAI's API. When you submit a prompt, story idea, or rewrite request, that content is sent to OpenAI for processing so the service can generate a response. We do not control how OpenAI processes data submitted through its systems, so you should review OpenAI's own terms and privacy materials.
Daily usage limits and site delivery may rely on Cloudflare and related infrastructure providers. Anonymous visitor identifiers and basic request metadata may be processed on that infrastructure to operate, secure, and protect the service.
If we use advertising, analytics, or measurement partners, those providers may also process limited technical information in accordance with their own terms and privacy practices.
Data Retention
We do not maintain user accounts or long-term personal profiles. Anonymous usage-limit records and related operational logs may be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to run, secure, measure, and improve the service, comply with legal obligations, and prevent abuse.
We do not intentionally store your prompts or generated stories as a permanent user library. If you leave the site or refresh without saving your content yourself, it may be lost.
Your Inputs and Generated Content
Your prompts and generated stories are processed to provide the service you requested. We do not use your prompts, rewrites, or generated stories to train our own models.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information, financial information, health information, passwords, or any other confidential material into the service. Because story generation is handled by third-party AI infrastructure, you should only submit content you are comfortable sending for processing.
Children's Privacy
FablePilot is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, please contact us and we will review the request.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of FablePilot after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
